Passionately Curious

Passionately Curious

sounds like a Gay introduction service to me

come along to the unexpected

you never know who you might see

nonbinary transgender bisexual

all totally gender free

so, if you’re passionately curious

this is the place to be

The wave rolled onto the sandy beach

As a beautiful sun had begun to rise

The joggers looking slightly seaward

They could not believe their eyes

Another wave rolled onto the sandy beach

a blood-soaked hand was revealed

long tendons could be seen trailing

as the hungry seagulls squealed

A scanning look along the shore

an upturned boat was found

lying beside the punctured hull

a body looking apparently drowned

Another wave rolled onto the sandy beach

And a life jacket washed ashore

A big white tooth in the padding

T’was the biggest they ever saw

Another wave rolled onto the sandy beach

a bigger one could be seen rising as it was coming

The next wave crested from the offshore breeze

a full set hit the wreck with a rhythmical drumming

Another wave rolled onto the sandy beach

Just small ones rolling between the sets

Debris could now be seen strewn all around

As witnesses spoke sureties of verbal bets

Another wave rolled onto the sandy beach

Life savers and police had recently arrived

An outstretched arm seen behind the breakers

Maybe someone had survived

Another wave rolled onto the sandy beach

As the lifesaver walked into it carrying his long board

A struggling swimmer sinks into the green

But her rescue is now assured

Another wave rolled onto the sandy beach

As victim and lifesaver surf toward the shore

Police and bystanders huddle together

Eager to find out what had gone on before

Another wave rolled onto the sandy beach

The woman was carried up onto the sand

She had passed out from exhaustion

People moved apart for the reversing ambulance van

Another wave rolled onto the sandy beach

As the paramedics went about their duty

The policeman held up the big white tooth

And stated proudly isn’t she a beauty

Another wave rolled onto the sandy beach

The woman screamed hysterically the people all jumped back

She could only manage two separate words as she screamed out shark attack

Another wave rolled onto the sandy beach

The police ambulance everyone had left the scene

The sun was high and swells decreased

It all seemed now just so serene

Another wave rolled onto the sandy beach

All the families had arrived, and they’d all gone in

They ran and jumped they swam and played

Out behind the breakers

I saw a bloody large fin
