I lay silently in a darkened room

For the gift of a ring I somehow entered this tomb

The kids are grown now, we're always home

I’m laying here on our bed and I’m all alone

I wish my face could still make you smile

You haven’t looked at me that way for the longest while

I daydream about you till the sun starts to rise

You never look over here for the tears in my eyes

You never change anymore when I’m in the room

You lock the door and say, don’t come back too soon

If I praise your beauty and say I like your dress

You bite my head off, who am I trying to impress

I wish my face could still make you smile

You haven’t looked at me that way for the longest while

I daydream about you till the sun starts to rise

You never look over here for the tears in my eyes

I can remember the warm feeling of your soft skin

The way you used to look at me whenever I came in

We would laugh and dance till our legs got sore

Now we step on each other’s toes, going through the door

I wish my face could still make you smile

You haven’t looked at me that way for the longest while

I daydream about you till the sun starts to rise

You never look over here to see the tears in my eyes

I watch you every day and all the things you do

I miss you my darling, you know I’m still so much in love you

You say there is no romance we know each other to well

Listen to my heart it has a story for you, I've tried to tell
